Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (~150 Celsius) while mixing in the remaining ingredients. Note: if you plan on using a glass pan (instead of a metal one), turn the heat down
Mix in oats until the bowl is half an inch from being full
Mix in 2/3 cup of canola oil
Mix in 2/3 cup of honey (or maple syrup). Note: make sure to measure out the oil first. The oil left on the sides of the measuring cup will keep the honey from sticking as, making it easier to pour.
Thoroughly mix together
Dump into a pan and spread evenly
Cook for ~45 minutes, adjusting for desired crunchiness. Stir every 20 minutes.
Scrap the granola out of the pan before it cools and the honey hardens
